How do I get better radio reception?

Ensure the FM radio wire is unraveled and is secured in a location free from sources of interference.

If AM and FM stations are still not coming in clearly try moving the unit to a new location and test again.  

Magnasonic clock radios can be tuned to odd numbered station frequencies: Ex. 101.1, 97.7, etc which is the standard in North America. This setting can not be changed.
