How to degas your ultrasonic jewelry cleaner

Degassing is an important step in ultrasonic cleaning as it improves cavitation by removing gases from your cleaning solution.

While our jewelry cleaners do not currently have a dedicated degas cycle, you can remove gases from the solution by following these steps:

  1. Fill the tank to the MAX line with water and your detergent or cleaning liquid.

  2. Run the cleaner without the basket or any items for 510 minutes, or until rising bubbles are no longer visible. This process only needs to be done once per fresh batch of solution.

  3. For faster results, use warm water.

  4. Do not run the cleaner for more than 25 minutes consecutively, as it may damage the internal components. Some models will automatically shut down in protection mode for 10 minutes until they can be turned on again.
