This is possible due to the use of a back-up battery located on the underside of the clock. If this battery dies, the clock will no longer keep its settings. When this happens, you can simply replace the battery with another 3V, CR2032 Flat Lithium Battery available anywhere batteries are sold. Follow these steps to replace the battery: 1. Remove and recycle the depleted battery.
