Why is my WRC101 outlet not turning on?
There are a couple of reasons your remote outlet may not be turning on.
- The remote control battery requires replacement - Battery type: L1028
- The remote and outlet are too far from each other
- There is wireless interference between the remote and outlet caused by walls, furniture, other electronics.
- The device(s) connected to the outlet may be drawing too much power. The outlet is designed to handle up to 16A 2000W/8A 1000W Tungsten of Current (1/3 HP load). As an example, many household space heaters are 1500W which doesn't leave much room for other devices if you use a power bar.
- Check for power lights on the remote and outlet.
- If they both appear to have power, test the outlet with a device that uses less power.
- Try moving closer to the device, keep line of sight if possible.
- If it works, it's likely the other device may be drawing too much power.
- If there are no power lights on the remote, replace the battery.
