Why is the screen black on my film scanner?

If you find the screen is turning off on your film scanner after the "MAGNASONIC" screen, this will happen when the scanner has a cable in TV-out connection such as the included RCA cables or HDMI cable. To see the on-screen display of your film scanner, disconnect the cable in the TV-out port. You may need to turn the scanner off and back on again.
