Why is the video from my FS81 8mm / Super8 Film Scanner jittery?

There are a few different reasons your recorded 8mm or Super 8 video could be jittery, shaky, or appears to jump around:

1. The holes in the film may be worn from use over the years, making it difficult for the scanner to feed smoothly.
2. The SD card is older or a speed class lower than 4. Formatting the SD card can also correct this in some cases.
3. The film was not fed under the white tabs pictured below.
