Will an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner loosen the stones or settings?

If you are concerned that your jewelry may have loose stones, do not clean them in the ultrasonic cleaner. While the cleaning process will not loosen settings on rings, earrings, necklaces, and other jewelry, it will clean debris that may be holding the stones in place if they are already loose.
